Ear Health Check (Otoscopy) We’ll examine your ears using a high-definition otoscope or video otoscopy to check for wax build-up, infection, or any visible concerns with the ear canal or eardrum. If you have earwax that’s affecting the test, we’ll explain your options for removal. 3. Full Diagnostic Hearing Test (Audiometry) You’ll sit in a soundproof booth or quiet testing room and wear headphones. We’ll play a series of sounds at different pitches and volumes to measure your hearing threshold in each ear. We’ll also assess your ability to hear speech clearly at different levels—giving us a full picture of your hearing profile. 4. Explanation of Results Your audiologist will go through the results with you clearly and thoroughly. We’ll explain: • The type and degree of any hearing loss • How it affects your day-to-day hearing • What the best next steps are—whether that’s no action, further tests, or a hearing solution You’ll also have a chance to ask any questions at this stage—we’re here to help you feel informed and confident. 5.
